On the 4th May, 2020 IBBC meeting was held in which many decisions had been made for the matric and inter board examination. The senior officer in IBBC said that the authorities could not agree upon the decision to not take the exam and pass the students with alternative grading. The exam will be conducted and SOP will be made to ensure the social distancing during the exam. He also added that the paper pattern of the board exam will also change this year. According to the sources, the schools are going to be open from 1st June, although the relaxation will be given to the students. The schools will be closed up to 11:30 am. The board all over Pakistan will conduct the matric and intermediate examination from 1st June to 15th july. Previously the board exams were postponed due to the outbreak of the coronavirus and students could not be able to appear in the exams. But now this important decision had been taken to conduct the annual examination so that the academic year of the students can be saved. From 1st June to 15th July the papers of all the classes will be held.

An emergency meeting is called on 6th May 2020

By considering the current situation, education minister Shafqat Mahmood has arranged the emergency meeting on 6th May 2020 in which the educational minister of all the provinces will finalize the decision about the matric and intermediate exams 2020. After meeting matric new date sheet and inter new date sheet of all boards will be announced. Proper preparation will be made and safety measures will be taken to conduct the exams.

The cases of coronavirus are continuously increasing in Pakistan, so it is not confirmed yet that the board papers will be conducted from the 1st of June. The ongoing situation is continuously being monitored and if the situation will settle down then the board examination will take place to conduct the canceled papers. Moreover, the education minister of Pakistan also not declared the revised exam schedule so nothing is confirmed yet. The meeting was expected to hold in a few days to decide about the new schedule of the board exam. In case the cases of coronavirus will be decreased then the official announcement will be made for the revised exam schedule for matric and intermediate examination. Moreover, all boards of Pakistan will also declare the date sheet to conduct the board exam.

Practical exam of 10th and 12th class 2020

According to the IBBC meeting, the matric and inter exams will conduct from 1st June 2020. But the practical exam of 10th and 12th has been canceled. There will be no practical exam going to be conducted in this year due to the consequences of coronavirus. So it is recommended to the students of 10th and 12th class to continue their studies for the next grade.
