Punjab Examination Commission is an independent organization established by Government of Punjab to provide the quality education. This is the only department in Punjab which is responsible for managing and controlling the education, its syllabus, Exams, Paper pattern, Announcement of result etc. This organization establish not just to provide quality education but also want to spread importance of education in all Punjab.

There is a misconception among the people that Punjab Examination Commission is optional, there is no need to give examination under Punjab Examination Commission. The Government make Act against this issue and according to this Act a strong action will be taken against the Government or privates School which are not registering their students under Punjab Examination Commission.
