The Board of Intermediate and Secondary education, Bannu Board is the intermediate education Governmental body in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. It is authorized with financial and administrative authority to organize, manage, regulate, develop and control intermediate and secondary education in general and accomplish examinations in the institutions affiliated with it. BISE Bannu came into being as a result of the bifurcation of the Peshawar Board in 1990 under the North West Frontier Province Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Act 1990. The BISE Bannu is the responsible for control, organization and regulation of intermediate and secondary education of more than 700 educational institutions in public as well as private sector in Bannu District. The main objective of the board is to conducting Matric (9th and 10th) and Intermediate (11th and 12th) class examinations within pleasant environment. It’s responsible for taking all Matriculation and Intermediate exams. Bannu Board held its own place and participate in education world with its potential and well stablished examination rules and regulations. The board is autonomous in nature.

The Bannu Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education usually conducts matriculation (ninth and tenth) level examinations and intermediate (eleventh and twelfth) level examinations every year in the months of March and April, in which a large number of students participate every year.
